Electronic cigarettes work off a lithium-based battery that powers an atomizer. The atomizer is what contains the nicotine. When you puff on the device, the atomizer heats the nicotine into a vapor which is then inhaled. The device is made to look like an actual cigarette. It has a LED light at the end of it to give it an effect of an actual burning cigarette during the inhalation process.
The battery can be recharged by many devices such as a wall adapter, mobile power adapter and a USB adapter. Once charged, the battery will have hours of usage.
The atomizer which contains the nicotine comes in many assorted flavors. You can choose from your basic tobacco flavor to a cherry flavor. You can also choose your nicotine levels, from a high dose to none at all. This is a very nice option to have because you can slowly lower your levels to break your nicotine addiction.
Electronic cigarettes are for people who want to give up smoking. They want a healthier alternative. The most common side effects from smoking are lung cancer, emphysema and heart disease. 90% of lung cancer deaths in men and 80% in women are caused by smoking cigarettes. There are many other forms of cancer caused by smoking as well.
There are many harmful chemicals in cigarette smoke such as arsenic, formaldehyde, benzene, cadmium, toluene, and vinyl chloride just to name a few. With an electronic cigarette, though, you only get nicotine which by itself does not cause cancer and the other ailments that smoking causes.
In the long run, smoking electronic cigarettes will be much cheaper than conventional cigarettes. The most important thing is that you will be saving your health.
